SP Arun had started out as an electrical engineer, read too much science fiction for my own good and turned into a neuroscientist. He is fascinated by how the brain transforms sensation into perception. He started out studying the sense of touch during my PhD, then started studying vision during my postdoc, and that has remained his fascination ever since.
